Biography
HOWARD N. FLAXMAN earned a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 1986 and a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1992. Mr. Flaxman is licensed to practice in Virginia and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He began his career at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as a Patent Examiner in the medical field and has worked in all aspects of patent and trademark practice since entering private practice as a patent agent in 1990. He currently specializes in patent preparation and prosecution in mechanical, electrical and materials science related technologies. He is also actively involved in trademark and trade dress protection, as well as client counseling on a variety of intellectual property matters.
